This bachelor thesis deals with the principle of designing and furnishing of a kids room and leads to a design of a boyish room. The theoretical part of the thesis aims at the historical background of the furnishing of a kids room, its relation to the child development and raises requirements on particular child development stages. Further, the effects of space, lighting, colors and accessories on human mind are mentioned. The emphasis is given to the cooperation of parents and their children during the furnishing process, importance of participation of each of the parts in the furnishing process is discussed. The practical part describes the design of a kids room for pre-scholar, young scholar and adolescent ages and the design of a tabouret.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of children's interiors and contains a brief describtion of a historical evolution of children´s rooms. The work aims to describe safety, ergonomic and hygiene rules of children´s furniture and interiors in all stages of child development. It introduces a variety of options to properly project, design, furnish and equip children´s rooms. There is also mentioned supply of appropriate children´s furniture on the market in the Czech Republic and current trends in the World as well. The bachelor thesis contains my own design of a room for children with dwarfism based on a knowledge I gained during the studies, and of course on the information I have recieved from a family of a child with dwarfism.

This thesis deals with the topic of children interiors. Bachelor thesis briefly describes the historical development of furnishing of children's interiors. It contains rules for furnishing the children's room, so that the children could feel comfortable and safe at the same time. The thesis is devoted to the specific requirements for each child's developmental period in terms of ergonomics, safety and hygiene . In the thesis, there is included a problem, which takes into consideration more children in a room. This bachelor thesis maps also offer of children's furniture in the domestic market and current trends. The gained knowledge is used in its own proposal of resolution of children's room.
